New Compliance Criteria
There are three main areas of compliance for Part L1a 2010.
1.Provide no less than 75% low energy light fittings in the main dwelling areas.
2.Lamps have a luminous efficacy greater than 45 lumens per circuit-watt.
3.Have a total output greater than 400 lamp lumens
Light fittings may be either
•Dedicated fittings which will have separate control gear will only take low energy pin based fluorescent lamps
or
•Standard fittings supplied with low energy lamps with integrated control gear ~(e.g. bayonet or Edison screw based compact fluorescent lamps
It should also be noted that light fittings whose supplied power is less than 5 circuit watts are excluded from the overall count of the total number of light fittings.
